Melissa Romero

Welcome. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in WA state practicing via teletherapy with a background working with individuals 10+. I am a strengths based clinician and believe that my clients already possess the strengths and truth that allows them to be the expert of their own lives. My goal is to be a witness to your journey and offer opportunities for growth where you might feel stuck. My goal is that we maintain a collaborative relationship, in which you are in charge of directing treatment goals while I offer support. I come to our time together with curiosity, humor, and warmth. My therapy is guided in evidenced-based therapy such as CBT, DBT, and mindfulness based interventions. My hope is that I can create a space where you can begin to learn to listen to your own voice that has likely been quieted by expectations, difficult relationships, a fear/concern of the current world as it is, and the complexities of relating to your environment in a safe and meaningful way.
